SMS (Short Message Service) alerts are familiar to many of us as the 'text messages' you receive on your mobile phone. It is possible now for an audience to stay informed of your latest news just by subscribing to your own, personal SMS service, giving them access to new information as soon as it is available.

The site also uses SMS to inform subscribed users directly, via their mobile phone, when news is added or updated. For the site, we have used a package that has 250 'credit' messages, a number that can be increased with demand. SMS technology does require coding knowledge, as well as the expertise of a new media communications company, to realise its full potential.
