Workshops
- An audience on the move
- Hosted by new media pioneer, Bill Thompson with Nancy Proctor from Antenna Audio this session explored the growing range of hand-held devices being used to view visual content. They considered the challenges posed by the devices and distribution methods and looked towards the screen-based, content rich, wireless future.
- Defining Intellectual Property
- Negotiating a return on creative investment in the multi-platform, easy access, digital age. This workshop guided delegates through the increasingly complex IP maze. Answering questions were:
James Lancaster - Head of Rights at BBC and Matthew Meyer from Taylor Vinters Solicitors. Both very experienced, they promised to 'de-mystify IP' and leave delegates with some simple take home points to follow.
- An audience of One
- How to create a podcast, get content online and reach new audiences. With Jo Twist, a Senior Research Fellow in Digital Society and Media at the IPPR and a well know podcaster and blogger in her own right. Laura Moss and Iain Griffin from BBC Radio Northampton also talked about their award winning Weekender show featuring un-signed bands.
- The Entrepreneurial Producer
- Arranged by Screen East and of particular interest to film and TV producers interested in creating work for range of platforms. With Mike Dicks from Illumina exploring work from mobi-soaps to websites. And Jeremy Cooke from Gameware exploring user generated content for kids.
